Lewis Builders

This is our second review for Lewis Builders because they continue to exceed expectations. After our remodel, we had a completely unexpected situation: a wild turkey flew through our window while we weren’t home. We called Katie and Cameron at Lewis Builders, and they immediately came over and took care of everything without hesitation. Their dedication and kindness turned a stressful situation into a reassuring one. They didn’t treat it like an inconvenience; they treated it like it mattered, because we mattered. It is rare to find people who not only deliver incredible craftsmanship but also show up with this level of care after a project is complete. Katie and Cameron are exceptional people, and the entire team at Lewis Builders is just wonderful.

We’ve now done two major projects with Lewis Builders, and both have turned out wonderful and been great experiences. We found the Lewis Team to be attentive to our needs and very professional. We knew what we wanted to achieve, and the Lewis design team was able to have us realize our vision in 3D renderings and then bring it to life. We lived in our residence during both constructions and the crew were polite and respectful of our space. We went with LB so that we could have a singular point of interface to interact with from design to permit to construction and to completion. I can highly recommend Lewis Builders as a full-service design/build firm.

I engaged Lewis Builders for their "Pre-purchase Feasibility" service to evaluate a vacant lot in Carmel. We worked with Scott Julien and Damien Georis, both were friendly and responsive to emails and phone calls. We had never purchased a vacant lot before, and had many questions but essentially: could we build the house we wanted? and what might it cost? My wife was especially interested to learn what views were possible, and Lewis Builders set up a height marker and used a drone to take pictures from different angles. They also thoroughly researched the availability of water, other utilities, zoning restrictions, walked the lot with us and a surveyor, and provided a massing diagram to illustrate how a house might be situated on the sloping lot and comply with setbacks and height restr

Lewis Builders (LB) did a gorgeous full-house remodel of our forever home in Monterey. Because the remodel took place when we were living a couple of hours away, we appreciated having the engineer, architect, designer, etc. all working on the same team. We didn’t experience the coordination difficulties that others endure when working with separate companies on the same project. LB does high quality, innovative work and we felt confident that they would complete the work on time. From what we’ve heard from others who tried the permit process on their own, we never could have done that ourselves as easily or quickly as LB was able to do. My experience with Lewis Builders has been exceptional. Scott Julian is a gem! He truly cares about his clients and team. His empathy and listening skills have created a calm atmosphere which I'm finding is an important part of our project. Scott and his team create a level of respect and professionalism which demonstrates an awareness that they are serious about the job yet this is our home.
