We used them for both our pre-drywall and pre-settlement inspections, and they were absolutely worth it. John walked the house with us and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, making sure we truly understood what we were seeing and what to expect. First time using Lodestar. My buyer was up against a tight inspection window. Lodestar was recommended by other agents in my office. They were able to accommodate us and we were not disappointed. Our inspector, Scott was on time and very professional. He did a great job of answering my buyer's questions. He was patient and explained things well. Also, we received the inspection report a few hrs after the inspection. It was a pleasant experience.

The house I hired LodeStar to inspect has 3 roofs: 1. gable roof that covers the 2 story house - architectural shingles 2. lean-to roof #1: 1.5/12 pitch - architectural shingles 3. lean-to roof #2: 2.55/12 pitch - architectural shingles It should have been very easily caught in the inspection that architectural shingles are not appropriate for low sloped roofs, particularly the 1.5/12 roof. These low sloped roofs are very easily seen from the bedroom windows and would not have required getting onto the roof. I can easily measure the pitch myself using my phone app from the inside of the house due to the roofs being so accessible by opening the window and simply sticking my arm out. Scott, in particular, was extremely thorough and knowledgeable during his inspections, complete class act. He not only was professional, but was extremely friendly and gave great advice on things outside of the inspection scope, which was extremely valuable as a first time homebuyer. Jennifer, was exceptional at getting me the services I needed, when I needed it, and how I needed it, and seamlessly might I add. Can not recommend them enough, will be referring any homebuyers I come across to Lodestar in the future.

LodeStar did a prepurchase home inspection for us and did a very complete and thorough job. Their inspector was very knowledgeable and explained everything as he performed the inspection.
