Stephen and his crew are a must go with no questions asked. Their professional contractors meticulous to every attention to detail and we’re always there to work with us whenever there was a little fork in the road in changing our plans we started off as hiring contractors, who then ended up becoming friends xoxo on the last day I was extremely sad to see them go. Stephen, the owner of Long Island Home Advisors, renovated my parents’ bathroom, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. As a professional interior designer, I work with many different builders and subcontractors, and I can confidently say Stephen was one of the very best. From the start, he treated my parents like family—with kindness, respect, and genuine care. Stephen is extremely knowledgeable, especially when it comes to space planning, and collaborating with him was an absolute joy. Renovations are never simple, and I will be the first to admit I am an extremely meticulous client. I expect things to be done correctly, and if something isn’t right, I will say so. I know that does not always make me the easiest person to work with. That said, Stephen was exceptional. There were real hiccups during this bathroom project. A vanity was installed in the wrong color and had to be completely removed. The tub that was installed was wrong and also had to be ripped out along with all the tile and part of the wall. These mistakes caused delays, which was frustrating. But what matters is how those issues were handled. Stephen did not walk away. Working with Stephen and his team was a wonderful experience!! We had a full kitchen renovation where the cabinets were taken out and replaced, we had new flooring installed, painting was done, and new appliances were installed. We also had the upstairs hallway repainted along with the two bedrooms. The bedrooms required rugs to be taken up, and wallpaper to be removed. Everything came out beautifully!! We then hired his team to replace our roof and gutters. Our next project is the front porch, and we will definitely be hiring Stephen. He is a pleasure to work with, his teams are efficient and professional!
