Sunday October 26 was a day that could have changed everything in our lives. I charged two lithium batteries in our laundry room and something malfunctioned and they violently errupted into flames. By the grace of God no one was hurt and we were able to extinguish the incredibly hot fire and save the home. What we couldn't have imagined was how much damage such a small lithium battery could cause. My basement flooded in early June due to a failed septic pump. My home is large, well-appointed, and custom-built, so my State Farm insurance adjuster recommended Loudoun Construction to do the renovation because of their attention to detail and quality. The owner Ryan Michels and project manager Caleb Lantz performed the estimate of the work. I was impressed that the owner came out with the PM to meet with me, because the other 2 companies who gave me estimates only sent an estimator. 1-24-2025 we had a pipe burst and flooded out our basement with 3 inches of water. It's a devastating thing to experience. Loudoun Construction was recommended to us for the restoration. Caleb Lantz was assigned our project. Caleb was always on time, professional and set our expectations correctly. He had worked with our insurance company before and wrote a good estimate for them. Loudoun is an impressive contractor. Reconstructed our house that was destroyed down to the frames. The house now looks perfect. Loudoun also dealt directly with the insurance company. Easy to work with, also remotely, when we traveled; finished faster than contracted. Altogether as good as can be once your house is destroyed by fire, smoke and water damage from extinguishing the fire.
