Lowe's Home Improvement

I placed an order online for 24 bags of rocks. Delivery was the next day. I work from home, got a text saying my order was delivered. It was not. I looked at the picture and it is definitely not my house nor my development. I call customer service, give all the info they need and am assured I will get a callback the next day. That didn't happen. I called and spoke with 3 more people (I've spent about 2 hours on hold, etc at this point) and finally get connected to the Goodyear store manager Javier who tells me he is having my order pulled within 30 minutes. Problem is lowes uses a 3rd party for shipping and its done online so he said it can take up to 24 hours got a response but he was going to try to escalate it. The staff here are great! A staff member was able to guide me right to what I needed even though I could barely describe what that was. My only complaint is the parking. Whereas there are plenty of spots, it feels as though the actual parking spot starts about 10 spots back in every single row because of the over abundance of handicap and curbside-pickup spots (which always seem to be at least 90% empty).

As a weekend woodworker who also dabbles in general home improvement projects, I find myself at Lowe's quite often for my lumber needs. It's important to set expectations correctly: this is a big box store catering primarily to construction needs, not a specialty lumberyard for fine furniture making. With that in mind, Lowe's does a commendable job of serving both crowds, though not perfectly, which is why I'm giving it a solid four stars. For construction-grade lumber, you'll find an extensive selection of studs, pressure-treated boards, and plywood. The convenience of being able to grab everything from 2x4s to fasteners and paint in one trip is a major plus. If they weren't the only one near my house I'd never go. I've spent a few thousand dollars here and had a couple of really good associates help sell appliances over the years(easiest to sell I know, I used to do it), but the amount of times I've gone and never gotten spoken to or acknowledged, or the stock has not been refilled, is ridiculous. Other locations are much better stocked and manned to the point where multiple associates asking if you need help almost gets annoying. At least they're doing their job though. We all know Lowe's is generally more expensive than Home Depot, then you would think at least the shopping experience should be better.

Management!! Amanda needs a raise!! It is the day before Christmas Eve - i don't need to tell you what that's like! And this gal was amazing. I had three items to order none that I could carry out of the store and she helped me purchase them, get them paid for and get it set up for me to pick up later. Just a darling woman! So patient and kind. I couldn't believe how quickly she got me in and out of the store! Give this lady a raise!
