I’m the son writing this review for my elder parents. My sister is the caregiver for both my father who has cancer and mother, she was doing a routine check in the basement and found the exhaust pipes connected to the power vent hot water heater had detached from one another that was on 1/22/2026. The hot water heater and exhaust pipes had been installed through Lowes/1800-Heaters Inc on 1/7/2025. Luckily she caught it in time, however she experienced dizziness and nausea due to exposure to carbon monoxide leaking into the basement from the disconnected pipes, it was later discovered that the pipes were connected to one another with out any adhesive. This seems to be reoccurring problem with some of the home repair services because this newest water heater was installed after the exhaust

I purchased a toilet here when we started our renovation, and the only one they had was a damaged box. We installed the toilet while we waited a week for the backordered matching vanity to arrive. When it did, and i installed it, i noticed the colors didn't match. I checked the boxes and sure enough, someone had switched the toilets, and now i have a cream-colored toilet next to my white vanity. Lowe's said since the toilet had water in it (literally the fourth step in the installation is to add water to keep out sewer gasses), it was a biohazard and they couldnt help me, and that they "had my information now, just in case." I'm dealing with corporate now, but I'm leaving a one star review until I get this resolved. If this were Home Depot, they'd have apologized and replaced it right away

In April 2024, we ordered a custom door from Lowe’s. Just a simple steel door going from our home to our garage - no windows or anything, just a knob and deadbolt. The first door arrived in August 2024. Once the installers got the door into the frame, they informed me the door was one inch too small. The door was also covered in dents and dings. They left the door installed with the plan that a replacement would be ordered. When I followed up with Lowe’s about a replacement door, I was told that for them to order another door the existing door would have to be removed and returned, which would mean we wouldn’t have a door going from our home into our garage. Garage doors have to be fire rated and that seemed not only like a huge security risk, but also a huge safety risk. I had to speak

I came in to Lowes at 4000 Union deposit road, Harrisburg, PA 17109 on july 4th 2025 to purchase a Whirlpool dishwasher. My plan was to pay with my bank credit card. The Lowes associate at the appliance was an african american lady and she told me that why do I want to use my credit card to pay for it. She said she can open a credit card for me that will be interest free if paid off in 12 months. I was wowed by the 12 months interest free and I said ok. I also thought that she could get a comission from opening an account for me, which is a good thing for her. I never bothered to check but I was going into a Lowes store to pay every month.
