If Lowe’s Helena was trying to win an award for the worst communication imaginable, congratulations you nailed it. Shoutout to Lowe’s Helena for delivering the most chaotic, inconsistent, and downright confusing customer service I’ve ever experienced on getting something delivered. If you enjoy broken promises, nonexistent communication, and being told five different things by five different people, this is absolutely the store for you. Our stove was supposed to be delivered Friday between 8:30–12:30. No call, no text, no apology — just radio silence. Then at 2 PM, someone cheerfully calls to say they’re “on their way,” hours late, as if that’s totally normal. Sadly, real life doesn’t run on Lowe’s time, so I had to leave for an appointment. The young gal at check out was friendly and accommodating. Was there for a fast grab, store was clean well stocked and easy to find what was needed. Parking lot was well maintained. Only issue would be the road getting to and from the store, this is to no fault of the store.

My Lowe’s experience this evening was not up to its usual standard. I was asked by an employee named Rob or Robb if I needed help finding anything. He never once made eye contact. I explained both items I was searching for. He very flippantly gave me two aisle numbers, one of which turned out to be wrong. Never once did he make eye contact and one of the items I needed was a bit unusual. He appeared to be on his phone and it seemed he could have walked me to the show me or help me. I ended up not finding what I needed so I’ll go to Ace where employees are more helpful. I’d like to add I had to go to Lowe’s for supplies to create legs on a chest. This was the evening of 10/26. Paint department is inconsistent. Some folks are extremely knowledgeable and helpful (Bobbi comes to mind), others seem to be brand new with little training or assistance. Most recently I went there and waited 10 mins and couldn’t get help. There were no customers in the paint department and no employees. So it wasn’t because they were busy. It was 2:00 in the afternoon on a weekday. Pushed the help button twice, and even asked customer service to page someone. No one ever showed. I’ve found the plumbing department to be fantastic. I forget the younger guy’s name with the beard and hat back there, but he is great. I’d give this department 5 stars. Other than that I have found myself going to Depot more and more these days.
