This Lowe’s location in Kent looks fairly new and feels larger than many of the stores I’ve visited in the Seattle area. The store itself is clean, spacious, and seems to have a good selection of products. Unfortunately, the service during our visit was extremely disappointing. We stopped in to do a very simple return and ended up waiting over 15 minutes. There were 7–8 associates assisting just two customers at the returns counter. At one point, two associates were on the phone while another cashier leaned against the wall instead of stepping in to help the growing line. When we asked about opening another register, we were told there weren’t any available — despite there clearly being another register right beside the cashier. I would like to recognize Mark from the Plumbing Department for providing truly outstanding customer service. Before coming to this store, I had already visited three different Lowe’s and Home Depot locations trying to find specific plumbing parts. In most cases, associates asked if I needed help, but the interaction usually ended quickly with “we don’t have that.” Mark’s approach was completely different. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely interested in helping me solve the problem. Within seconds he understood exactly what I needed and was able to locate the correct parts right away. I was shopping at this location on Pac Highway for two hours to try and design a lock mechanism for my service doors on my utility box truck and figure out how to fix the hairline crack in my cabover thats leaking into my sleeper. I was having trouble getting things to fit the service door as a replacement for the original lock cylinder so i was looking around for awhile in the hardware department and then paint. In general, I’d give them a 4, but after my last experience, I’m extremely disappointed that Lowe’s has not done more to resolve my current issue. Not even any urgency. We’ve now been living with two living rooms worth of furniture in one for two months because of Lowe’s contractor’s poor work. Highly recommend paying more for someone better. We purchased flooring thru Lowe’s who scheduled a contractor to install. It has been the worst experience we’ve had with a contractor. They only scheduled ONE person to remove and install our flooring. It took him from 8 am to 5/5:30pm. It interrupted my work schedule and was not supposed to take that long for such a small area. Excellent customer service! We went here to purchase the materials and lumber we need to build our 8x10 backyard shed. From the time we walked in, we got immediate customer support when I asked for help to find stuff we need because my husband can’t stand and walk too long due to his feet issues. We finished shopping in 45 minutes and a staff named Mayur ( I might spell his name wrong), a dark skin Middle East or Indian man, helped us to load our 5 heavy lumbers (4x6x8 & 4x6x10) into our SUV. He is very thoughtful and humble! He skillfully used the ropes we brought to tie the five heavy logs tightly together, then wrapped the ends of the logs completely with the clothes we brought, and secured them with elastic rope to the hooks in the back of the truck to ensure that the logs would not s
