I came in for “just a few things” — paint, shelves, some tools, a little electrical stuff — you know, the classic five-minute trip that turns into a full DIY expedition. And honestly? The staff made it easy. Fluffy, Henry, Phil, and a few other legends on the floor were absolutely top-tier. Super helpful, actually knowledgeable (not the “let me Google that for you” type), and professional without being robotic. They answered my questions, pointed me in the right direction, and didn’t make me feel like I was about to accidentally rewire my entire house wrong. It’s rare to find a store where people genuinely seem to care and know their stuff. This is officially my go-to Lowe’s. If I build something crooked, it won’t be because of their advice. I was extremely impressed with Lisa and her kindness at this location, she was so helpful when I called the store trying to purchase my fridge online after many attempts. Very kind and patient with the transaction. I would highly recommend this store if you ever have issues online.

This is not a veteran friendly store. I would recommend driving down the street to Home Depot. They offer veteran discount at Lowe’s, I can use my veteran ID at any other Lowe’s store except this Salem NH store. They said I have to register on a website. I am not tech savvy and I thought using my military ID would be ok. Heather at customer service made it clear that the Salem NH store, is different from the other veteran friendly store.

Corporate take notice. I am not going back. It's not because of the staff or store, it's because you've allowed Sunrun to essentially harass your customers. Four days in a row, I been hunted down in isles asking if I have solar. Enough is enough. It's bad enough with solar company calls, now this. I go to buy items to prepare for winter, not to be hunted down and be harassed with a sales pitch. And the sales people from Sunrun are aggressive.

Legendary experience! Matt the supervisor is an exceptional leader, innovative and excellent with customer service. Justyn also helped immensely by carrying the plywood out to the car (and back in when I made and told them the wrong measurement to cut the board 🥲). They both helped me figure out the right way to cut the boards as well. Henry did the second cut swiftly, and Elie rang me out right quick. Excellent experience!!
