Typical Lowe's well organized and staff was friendly and the store was clean. Plenty of parking and there was propane, firewood and water available along with all other home supplies

I live directly in between this store and store number 420 in Newport News. Today we decided to go to this store because it's less busy and we didn't feel like "peopling" very much. My wife and I grabbed our small Yorkie and headed straight to the outdoor department for soil. We were on a time crunch and needed a bunch, quickly. As we approached the soil section we were abrublty stopped by a Lowes employee asking us for a free demonstration or showing of some type of leaf guards that go over your gutters? I told her immediately no thank you, we just rent our home. And she immediately said that I look so familiar and that if I knew my landlords or not ? If we could ask them if they were interested? I received a gift card for Christmas from this location. It wasn’t loaded correctly I found out at the Lowe’s location near my residence. I called the number on the card and was told to take it to the store, they purchased the card from. So I drove from Louisa County , to Williamsburg in January. Here it is March 1st and nothing. I was told they were “checking cameras” from the manger. It was evening time on a weekend, if that helps. I’ve put a complaint in to corporate. I have called twice and they’re still “checking cameras “. My mom , who got the gift for me said a lady had swiped one card, said it didn’t load and threw it and proceeded to load the card I have now. I have receipt, talked to Higher Authorities. Spent $40.00 in gas just to get there. Terrible customer service. Apparently

We checked online before going and sure enough the things we needed were where the website said and in stock. They give you the aisle and bay. I would have ordered for pickup but didn't want to wait 3 hours I got bottom up to down room darkening shades and installed them when I got home. One less item on my checklist.

Today is November 20th 2025. I just came to pick up some pavers, and as I'm walking into the garden section. A gentleman named Michael handed me a flat cart asked what I was shopping for I told him I was gonna pick up pavers, he asked if I needed help. I told him I don't think so. But he continued to walk with me to the pavers. Without hesitation helped me load them onto my cart walked with me to the Register and then walked with me to my truck. To help me load the pavers. All while having good conversation and very friendly banter. Best experience ever. ( i was a Lowe's installer for decks. Fences and siding for 13 years for this Lowe's and every other one all the way to virginia beach.)
