Hands down, Mark Lutz is the best general contractor in and around Asbury Park. Ask any realtor. Ask any homeowner who has hired him. Ask any of the town building inspectors. If you want a GC who will do the job correctly, file permits, and do everything possible to make you happy, you should hire Mark. In response to an earlier review that trashed Lutz, it's safe to say that would not be Mark's work or deeds. If it was his work, and if the reviewer had reached out to him before posting such harsh comments, he would have been over immediately to correct anything that he had done. I'm amazed that someone's first instinct is to post a negative review. What a small-minded, bitter person...

There is absolutely no need to look any further for your construction projects if you are in the area serviced by Lutz Construction. This company is currently working on our third project These guys are dependable, honest, and are by far the absolute best money can buy. Mark Lutz, the owner, cares about every job he does and it’s great to see his capable son Joe taking over the reigns as well. Their finished work is impeccable and they stand behind their quality of what they do all the while assuring your neighbors that they will be as respectful and the least disruptive as possible. His front person and project manager Rachel is the most efficient and pleasant person to deal with as well. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

There are no words to describe how amazing Mark Lutz and his workers are. I highly recommend them because their quality of work exceeds excellent standards. I am not one to write a review about anyone unless they have proven themselves and their work is above outstanding. I bought a shore house which was a dump, falling apart, section 8 fixer upper and had more problems than one could ever imagine. Mark Lutz offered sensible solutions and creative ideas and fixed what the first contractor I hired screwed up and ripped me off. Mark Lutz and his workers turned my house into a beach house paradise because they think outside the box and goes the extra yard. They are all trustworthy and organized and completed the phases of work in a timely manner. I was lucky to find them.

Mark is not your typical contractor. He is what you want every contractor to be. He treats customers like family and in doing so makes sure they are safe in their homes. I’ve done 3 projects with Lutz Construction and they always keep going til the project is perfect. Really good work with really good work ethics.

Lutz Construction did gut renovation on house that I just moved into a few weeks ago in Asbury Park. My experience has been an awful one finding all the shotty work and sub par craftsmanship all over the house. Buyer beware. Take a shower and the downstairs toilet overflows- I found out from another professional that I needed to hire for emergency service since one of the toilets from a shower was flooding kitchen and mud room- that professional discovered the overall Plumbing in the house was not configured correctly and there is no exterior access to main sewer line. There isn't even access in my basement. Electric completely redone in the whole house yet he never even placed any electric outlets, in the basement.
