Manuel Hicks & Sons Paving

Had a very large driveway done by this company years ago. Not long after the job was done you could see it start to fail. A few years after, we were left with a completely disintegrating driveway. (See pictures) In the contract we were told the blacktop material would be compressed to 2.5" (see photo of contract). Clearly you can see where the gaping holes are, that most areas are a 1/2" at best. Other areas are less. Thus the reason for the blacktop failed, causing crumbling and gaping holes in the main traffic arras and, deep cracks and splitting everywhere else. Needless to say we called and no one ever showed up to make it right. Posting this review to save other consumers from making a huge mistake by using this company! I highly recommend Manuel Hicks & Sons Paving for paving, drain replacement and sealing driveways! My paving project was completed in November 2021 and we are still very happy with the results! Here's why... Prior to working with Manuel & Sons Paving, our long driveway was partially paved with asphalt 15 years ago and partially paved with some type of composite 30 years ago. It had developed cracks, ruts and low spots. It had a 30 yr-old drain beneath one portion of the paved driveway. We called Manuel based on a recommendation we received from a friend who employed him for her paving and drain project. Manuel was so easy to work with. We never felt rushed while discussing, planning or making changes to our project plans. He visited our property within a few days of contacting him

The driveway that Manuel Hicks and Sons Paving did at my house did not hold up. The driveway is just over 2 years old and cracking everywhere, spots where it’s maybe 1/2 inch thick and dirt is coming through. I would steer clear of this company. Left the same comment on Facebook and he blocked me instead of standing behind his work.
