Marran (Oil, Gas, and Security)

I’ve had an excellent experience with Marran Oil, especially with their Service Manager, Joe. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything clearly, which really builds trust. A couple weeks ago my oil line froze, and their team fixed it quickly and professionally. Joe then recommended specific insulating material to prevent it from happening again and even called me before this past weekend’s historic arctic blast to make sure the oil line and tank were properly insulated. And guess what? My line did NOT freeze. That kind of proactive follow-up and attention to detail is rare. We have had Marran oil as our oil/service company for the last couple of years. We usually have just have our regular oil deliveries and annual boiler service with them. Last night we had an emergency with our boiler. I called the emergency service line and within 30 mins we had a tech at our door to service our boiler. He was very thorough and figured out that our ignition transformer was what caused the trouble. He replaced it and gave us such peace of mind. I really thought we were going to have to sleep in cold temperatures last night but Marran Oil made sure to take care of us. I recommend this company whole heartedly. They did right by us and not many companies do that for their loyal customers. Great job Marran Oil :)

Marran Oil installed a complete new boiler system at my home costing approximately $25,000. The installation had multiple issues from the start. Their technicians miswired the system several times, and as a licensed electrician I ultimately had to correct the wiring myself to get the system operating properly. It has only worked reliably for the past 18 months because of those corrections. During their inspection, they stated the oil tanks needed repairs. They did rework the oil lines from the tanks to the boiler (removed ProPress fittings and installed proper oil-rated fittings and shutoff valves), but they did not address the vent and fill piping or complete any full tank repair. Very, very happy with the service Marran provides. Over the last two months, our house has not been kind: a 10 year old hot water tank failed on Christmas Eve, and today, we woke up without heat in our house. For the hot water tank, two techs arrived on Christmas Eve to walk me through my leak (one visit was probably closer to midnight). I waited until the 26th, called the office early, and had a team of 3 techs show up and work throughout the day installing a brand new tank in a new location. The work was meticulously done. The techs who show up, especially Garrett, take the time to teach you all about your heating system. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Although I hope to not see you in February, it's reassuring to know help is a quick phone call away.

Highly professional service & very price competitive on oil tank install. Marran Oil was very responsive in scheduling a visit and evaluating our oil tank replacement needs. A slow leak in our old metal basement tank required a quick solution. We sought three bids, and Marran was extremely competitive with a $600 lower bid than the closest bidder for the same 30-year warranty Roth outside tank. Our longtime oil supplier disappointed us with a much higher bid — $1,100 above Marran’s bid — for a standard metal outside tank with only a 10-year warranty. Marran Oil sent a very competent three person team to complete the job in about 3 1/2 hours.
