He is very responsive and has come over to check on a few questions I had and still checks in on how things are going. Having that ongoing line of communication with the person who remodeled my place puts my mind at ease in case problems were to arise in the future. Hire Martins! THE END. We purchased an old storefront to convert into a single-family home several years ago. As designers, my husband and I came up with an overall plan and went looking for a GC to build it for us and, most importantly, help us hammer out details along the way. We went through a few different GCs who didn't work out for a variety of reasons.
