McCormick's Nursery & Garden Center

This is the most extensive nursery I have ever been at in many years. Too bad I live in Colorado. There were lots of trees that I wanted to buy. These guys not only have great product but they take care of it and they guarantee it. The woman, who works there, does a great job and they have a full staff to do landscape architecture in your yard. I wish they were in Colorado too. What a wealth of plants and trees. I have planted over 200 trees in my yard. This place is stellar.

Stopped by this great shop yesterday to pick up plants for a front yard redesign. I was initially going to a large retailer but saw them on my way, and made a smart decision by going in. Not only were the prices more affordable, but the quality of the plants was better and customer service was personalized. McCormick’s knowledge of which plants would thrive and give me the best coverage really helped us choose the right plants. Then they offered to deliver and install! We will be coming back soon for phase 2!

He says he tries to save trees but is currently in the process of clearing an entire forest to plant corn. This is something he has more than once before. He has more money than he knows what to do with and wants everyone to know it. This guy is the absolute worst!! Stay away from this place!

Love this place. It’s so peaceful I’ve stopped just to walk through during the summer months. I also pick up some things I couldn’t find anywhere else around the area, like rooting hormone and live ivy plants. Shopping small businesses is so important in a town like Sterling and the people who work at and own this business make it easy to want to do so. They are friendly, don’t rush through helping you, are knowledgeable, and always return calls quickly. They are the definition of a small, hometown business that genuinely cares about its customers. I love plants and I love giving my business to people who also love plants and love what they do. I would much rather buy plants here than Walmart or Menards. Although I frequently rescue on sale plants that have been seriously neglected at Walm
