Mckinney Hardwood Lumber

Been coming here once in a while for years now. The best place to get quality, raw hardwoods for your projects. Love the walnut I was able to get for some wall shelves. I also got various pieces to make cutting boards for gifts, like bloodwood, purple heart, hard maple, etc.

I was in the DFW area and took a chance and went by to take a look. Best prices, friendliest people, and great selection of exotic wood. I’m a customer for life at this point. I plan to run by every time I’m in the area. Do yourself a favor and give them a look - you will not be disappointed.

McKinney Hardwood Lumber always has top notch service and reasonably priced hardwood. Also it was the only place that I could find Oregon Black Walnut, I knew I had to get some Oregon walnut for my next project, this walnut type has more character and different color hues than your typical black walnut.

Drove all over town hoping to find wide and deep enough planks for a shelf project. Should have saved myself the trouble and started with MHL as I'd initially planned. Nicest guy I've dealt with. Told him my intention and wants over the phone, he took the time to dig through his stock and find me six cherry planks that were close enough matched to work. Also came in cheaper than other suppliers on BF, in the long run. Turned a project that was looking like a wash into a semi-professional result, and I didn't have to settle for common lumber from a hardware store. No warps, no gouges and you can actually look through his stock. Will return and will def recommend. Start here and be done.

I like the closeness of the store and the supply of hardwood options here in McKinney (or Frisco?) it’s somewhere on the border. The owner (Michael) is very genuine and helpful, and interested in everyone’s project. It’s awesome supporting a local owner. I’ll post more images as I go, this is Black Limba.
