Mclaughlin Moving

If I could rate them lower, I would. We were living in New Hampshire and had a planned move to AL. We booked service with the company 4-5 months ago and had everything confirmed. The plan was to have the team come one day to pack and then another day to finish packing and load the truck. Come the day before packing, I received a call asking for permission to have the team come one day only instead of two. I granted this permission on the basis everything was completed as we were leaving town on Friday. On Thursday, the team arrived an hour late and with only 2 men. The team told us that the dispatch team did not want to spend money to have them come out on Wednesday and had given them the day off. This moving company was absolutely phenomenal! I was in a bind when I found out that I had to move within three weeks during the summer (busy season for moving)! McLaughlin Moving had a tech come out to make an estimate and got me in on the exact date I needed! The movers were kind and very friendly to me and my animals. The office team was incredibly responsive and helpful! I booked a cross country move with Mayflower and McLaughlin is the local company Mayflower contracted with. Overall, McLaughlin is by far the worst moving company I’ve ever used. Horrible in every possible way. Beginning with the move out, the movers showed up almost an hour late to the end of the two hour window they originally gave me. Once in my apartment, the movers used my bathroom without my permission and left boxes unattended in the hallway, outside my building as door props in the rain and in the parking lot outside their truck. It wasn’t until I asked them to take the boxes out of the open and put them in the truck did they actually move them. I recently used Mclaughlin Movers thru Mayflower from Massachusetts to Virginia. To say the least, it was a big move, but it went so smoothly thanks to the professionals at Mclaughlin. I had to have my belongings in storage for a month before I could move into my new home and they arranged everything. Movers were careful, and not one thing was broken, and I had a lot of fragile items. I highly recommend using them. Thank you to Lori and Evan!
