Mecko's Heating & Cooling

We had an issue with our hvac, during the day we had changed batteries on our thermostat and believed that to be our problem. As the evening progressed, we quickly learned that was not it. We called Meckos, after hours. We were given the price for after hours service calls and a 2 hour window. Derek showed up within the hour, was very polite and patient with my aunt, the homeowner and showed us exactly what he was doing and what his diagnosis was. Derek was about to clean the part, without replacing it and was on his way. We will definitely use them again, based on price and customer service.

I highly recommend Mecko’s. I had my entire HVAC system replaced and the whole process was easy, stress free, and most importantly substantially cheaper than competitors while also being a local business delivering excellent service. Dave, the owner, Derek, and their crew were extremely friendly and professional. I think a business can be judged by its owner and when the owner does the quotation process and then actually comes to the install to help his crew member pull lines, it is impressive. If you have any HVAC needs, give Mecko’s a call.

They dont even care about you. In November, with cold weather approaching, I contacted Mecko’s Heating & Cooling in Lafayette for help with a simple furnace inducer removal. I already had the replacement part and had 95 percent of the work completed. I agreed they did not need to warranty the part. I only needed to pay for labor. The owner’s wife said she would check with her husband and call me back, but never did, leaving me without heat. I had to call another Lafayette HVAC company, who came the next day, fixed it in 30 minutes, and restored heat immediately. Poor communication, poor customer service, and unreliable in a no heat situation. I do not recommend Mecko’s Heating & Cooling.

Mecko’s Heating and Cooling did a fantastic job for us! From the first call to the final walkthrough, their team was professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, worked efficiently, and left our home cleaner than they found it. You can tell they take pride in their work and truly care about their customers. If you’re looking for honest pricing, reliable service, and top-notch workmanship, I can’t recommend Mecko’s Heating and Cooling enough. They’ve definitely earned our trust, and I’ll be calling them again for any future HVAC needs.

We just moved into this house (from Florida!!). Furnace went out!!! Coldest weekend!! After leaving a message and then calling back to make sure I left my phone number. I got the nicest lady (so sorry I don’t remember her name). She got ahold of their on call guy Seth. He immediately called us. We had space heaters and the gas fireplace going!! We opted to wait until today for him to come by. When i contacted Seth this morning he said we were 3rd on his list!! We were thrilled!! He came by when he was in the area! Had us going in just 10 minutes!! He was so nice and very knowledgable. I will be calling for an annual cleaning!!
