Menards

It’s a boys club. Can never get any help from anyone. The one person who greeted me tonight was another woman. Wandered around the lumber yard looking for help, was ignored, found the wood I needed and went to find someone to help cut it, man in the yard did not want to help me and told me I could just go cut it myself at the warehouse. When I asked where that was he just said “it’s at the warehouse”

They had flag bench for 115 dollars after 11% in store credit. Nice outdoor furniture.

I browsed Menards for a new bathroom vanity as I'm remodeling. They had one on the floor i liked, but had to order it online. After it arrived, I realized the depth was too great for my space and went to return within a week and a half of pickup, box never opened. Menards charged me a $95 restocking fee, something they were unwilling to budge on despite the lack of clarity to the customer on this policy and me spending $700 with them on this project. The general manager demeaned me by suggesting he would be willing to take a tour of that section with me to point out where I could have seen the policy. Terrible way to treat a customer. I’ve since returned all purchased items to Menards for this remodel and shopping at their competitor who is less than a quarter mile away. I do hope Menards

They used to be a solid two stars. Now they have more products, including higher quality ones, and a friendlier return policy. Still some things to look out for. Example; for a large project we need to purchase 25% extra so that after sorting out the rejects we have enough good quality ones for our project. As a number of reviews point out, the expertise of Menards employees is not so great, due to the high turnover. Now their outside yard area is also more organized. At times their dock (pickup) area has drywall screws that are looking for a tire.

Went to Menards today. This was my third trip as required by any Mark home improvement project. The first trip was to return improper joint Filler material. Second was to buy more of the correct filler I did not get the first time. Last trip was for light bulbs in the garage.
