Meridian Moving & Storage

We contracted Meridian Movers with the clear expectation that our property would be handled with professional care. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet that standard. During the move, multiple items of furniture were damaged, our walls were marked, and there were visible shoe prints left on our belongings. Additionally, we were billed for materials that were not used. What they sell you in conversations before signing doesn’t include the supplies they have to use to “protect” your property. As a result, we are now incurring out-of-pocket expenses to repair and replace damaged property. Following our complaint, the company returned to apply cosmetic touch-ups, offered to repair certain items, and provided a partial refund. They offered a refund in lieu of not speaking out about t

I am extremely disappointed with this moving company. They took two hours just to load a one-bedroom apartment, which is completely unreasonable. The move should not have taken that long just to load. During the move, they damaged my dresser, as well as the walls and doors at my new place. My dresser was in good condition before the move, and now it is scratched and damaged. I sent them pictures as proof, but instead of taking responsibility, they tried to protect themselves by writing vague things on the contract like “couch” and “everything if damaged.” When I signed the paperwork, nothing was clearly written saying all items were already damaged. The best movers ever, and i’ve moved across the country a couple times. Crew was nice as can be, clean, no damage, and packed that truck as tight as can be. Had all the right tools and supplies. Really great people, and great movers. I’ll definitely use them again. Thank you, you’re the best. follow up after we unpacked: You are the worst ever. Was supposed to take 2 days to pack us in trucks but they rushed and did it in one. The result was that every piece of furniture is damage and some destroyed. No dividers in the truck or any thing strapped down, no corners protected on furniture, boxes marked fragile art are crushed, tons of stuff not even packed but was just thrown in the truck. Caleb and Devyen did an amazing job today. They helped me and my roommate move out of a 2 bedroom apt to a 2 bedroom townhouse. They even managed to get my couch up the insanely crazy foyer/stairwell design. Definitely recommend them. In addition let me say they worked non stop. It took longer then we had anticipated but somehow they managed to moved it all in LESS TIME then may last move which had a 3 man crew. I rarely leave public reviews and prefer to resolve issues privately. Unfortunately, Meridian Movers left us no choice. We interviewed seven moving companies and chose Meridian Movers because they confidently assured us they were fully capable of handling our move, including relocating our hot tub. That confidence turned out to be completely unfounded. They arrived late on moving day, immediately setting the tone for a disorganized and inefficient experience. While the crew was polite, they were clearly unprepared and lacked the proper equipment and planning for the job. The hot tub move was a disaster.
