Merit Commercial

This company wants 90% of the cost of the project before installation even begins. Half down - fine, typical, and then 40% after demo before installation. 😄 what? Not to mention a consultation and design fee.

One of my rugs came in with the backing detached so they had to reorder/resend it. I received 2 rugs for which I paid $3000. About 2 months after they were installed they started to pull away from the backing and fray. I contacted them and they sent someone out but never resolved the issue. Nice people with whom to deal but not if you have any problems! Going forward, I will order from Lowes, save a lot of money and avoid dissatisfaction for paying so much for what I got.

This place is only open a few days a week. Of course that isn't posted ANYWHERE. They are only open for appointments the other half. I had rather drive all the way to Columbia than deal with a business who can't seem to bring themselves to having store hours clearly posted with all stipulations. Plus nowhere does it say the location on Wrightboro is just for commercial. I've driven all over Augusta for nothing. Absolutely nothing.

More commercial, less personal... Not my choice for flooring stores (well not for a residential project) However they have been around for quite some time. I believe they have lost their ability to understand what the average homeowner is looking for... I could be wrong but they just aren't the local kind of business I'd prefer.

John Haddon demonstrated superior customer service during the entire flooring process. He articulated all features of our flooring needs but was not too aggressive in the process.
