Was at the Crown Point Ace Hardware Store (9325) today and Glenn gave my sister and I SUPERB service. I truly love this store because they all provide service with a smile. Thank You...5 Star!

I will give zero stars if I could. I went into the store, looking for some tools. I asked the cashier to help me and she directed me to a guy named Jeff who attitude that was inattentive and dismissive. I showed him what I was looking for on my phone and he showed me a few things that were not what I showed him. Then he starts was a mumbling saying he don’t know what I’m talking about. Left me an hour. I want to do something else. Needless to say I left the store without what I needed. I felt disregarded as a customer. He has zero customer service and something needs to be done about it.

I shop in Ace not because the prices are low, but because it's more convenient than going into a Lowe's or Home Depot. The employees at this location are generally stoic and not helpful, unless you ask. Today, I came in with two specific items in mind. I knew where they were so I went straight to them. Normally the older white men working at the help center just stand there and look me up and down. Today, one actually followed me all around the store. That's unacceptable. I'm not saving money here so it's not worth being profiled. One of the items I needed was in stock on the website, but not in store. I just left my purchase on the counter and walked out. Maybe they need diversity training so they can differentiate a customer from a criminal.

Ace, at least this one, is the place for the helpful folks. Everyone we have dealt with has been terrific, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have a phenomenal grill section. Second to really no one locally. Pretty much everything you need for small to medium home projects and outdoor cooking needs.
