As the President of an HOA, I have appreciated the partnership with Messenger’s. Landscaping and groundskeeping are a critical part of the value of each owners share of the community and Messenger’s care deeply about our property. As with many HOAs, no single person owns the landscaping. It’s owned by everyone in its entirety. Our property gives the privilege to owners to plant in common areas, if they choose. Even when an individual owner chooses to plant something, the HOA owns it. We have policies and rules in place so everyone should know what is allowed and what is expected. Messenger’s was recently hired by our Board of Managers to care for our large Condominium complex. The property consists of a variety of lawns and landscape that encompass 24 acres surrounding 230 condos. Our complex has a very complicated older landscape with all the common ground covered by HOA rules and regulations that the board is working to standardize and make sure all guidelines are clearly understood by owners and residents. Change is uncomfortable. Messenger’s is working as a service partner in helping to make our job easier. Our condo association recently signed a contract with Messenger's to take care of our large property this year. I'm thrilled to have them after poor communication and service from a different company last year. Kat goes out of her way to communicate with the Landscape committee and follow through with our objectives. I definitely recommend them.

We hired Messenger's to install a paver patio in March of 2022. All was well in the beginning with a 3D rendering and a detailed quote. Once work began, the assigned crew would show up intermittently and the work progressed at a snail's pace. There were many excuses, namely that the supervisor was unable to be on site to manage the team. To Keith R's credit, he intervened with management and was successful in replacing the first crew with an experienced crew. The new crew took a look at the existing patio and recommended tearing it out and starting over. Well done on their part. We were guaranteed a two year warranty on the project. REVIEW OF SERVICE: Messengers Lawn & Landscape was recently hired as the neighborhood wide landscaping vendor by the community HOA. On the first service, the lawn care crew used a string trimmer to cut mature iris to the ground (photo attached), plus a fourth plant near the porch. I was told that the person operating the trimmer was not properly trained between ornamental and tall grasses (which were to be trimmed) and flowering plants, bulbs, and most importantly "what should be trimmed back." As an avid gardener, my spring beds are meticulously planned in the previous fall season. Three strategically placed iris had grown to full size, and were starting to produce blooms due to the mild weather (photo attached from fall to show size of greenery/flower had not yet bloomed).
