Midway garage Parking

We are visiting from out of town and accidentally entered the wrong lane. There is NO clear exit or turnaround option. We explained immediately that we were not parking and only needed to leave, and we were still charged $4 just to exit. This is extremely frustrating and honestly feels very unfair. It comes across like a trap for drivers who are unfamiliar with the area. There needs to be proper signage and a clear exit without charging people who never intended to park.

Parking garage is ideal if youre flying away for 2-8 days. Its $15 per day so make sure you do your math. If youre going away for more than 8 days youre better off getting a lyft or an uber and save some $$

Uber/Lyft drivers beware – avoid this location if you can. Even brief pick-ups or drop-offs will cost you. At Hertz Car Rental – Chicago Midway Airport, there’s no separate area for rideshare. You’re forced to enter their gated lot, and whether you’re picking up or dropping off a passenger — even if it takes less than a minute — you’ll be charged a parking fee. I explained to the attendant that I didn’t park — just a quick pick-up. His response? “Sir, just pay,” then he slammed the window in my face. No professionalism, no flexibility — just an inflexible fee system designed to nickel-and-dime working drivers. 🚫 Passengers: DO NOT pin your location inside the Hertz lot.
