I am a general contractor and realtor. We have used Mike The carpet guy many times on our projects. He's done a great job giving us a good value for our money and always does what he says he's going to do. Highly recommend him and his company.

I had asked my Realtor for a referral on a carpet guy to change out my carpet so I can sell my house. The consult was great, he quoted and we picked the carpet we wanted. His tech installed the carpet for us and did such a poor job. We have an outlet in our living room that is on the ground. The tech didn't bother to cut out the outlet whole, and just covered it. When we discovered this we asked for them to come back and fix it. After delays over delays someone finally came and fixed it. HOWEVER, all this person did was literally CUT THE WHOLE in the carpet to expose the outlet, he didn't bother to put the face plate back on, exposing the entire outlet. He probably threw away the face plate too or something, because there's no face plate left behind in our empty house. We moved out of s

We installed in 2023. Carpet was loose. Emailed and tried to contact them. No response back. Go with someone else. Mike comes out for the estimates but hires whoever for installation. Go with someone else.

We had Mike the Carpet Guy install carpet in the basement and flooring in the upstairs bathroom. The work itself turned out great—everything looks sharp, and the turnaround was fast. Mike offers quality products at a fair price, which we appreciated. That said, the cleanup could’ve been better. There was tape left on windows, closet doors left in the bathroom, and various scraps lying around. In the bathroom, we found wet towels and old caulk in the tub. When the toilet was reinstalled, the shutoff valve was turned off—no biggie, but when I opened it, it leaked badly. Not the installer’s fault (it’s an old valve), but a heads-up would’ve been helpful. All in all, a good experience—I’d just like to see a little more attention to cleanup next time.
