MJK Construction

We've hired MJK Construction for several projects including (1) full siding and paint on a commercial property (2) window replacement at our home, (3) siding repair and paint for our home. Max and his team were great to work with--professional, responsive, and full of helpful suggestions throughout each project. We are pleased with their work and highly recommend!

The siding on my house and detached garage replaced by the crew from MJK construction with James Hardie siding and trim. The total job was over 5,000 square feet and included removing all of the old siding, installing trim, belly bands, corner boards, soffit, lap siding and shingles. The deliver of all the material required 2 trucks so from my standpoint it was a big job. The crew from MJK showed up each morning between 7 and 7:30 prepared to work. It was amazing to watch the guys work. Each knew what to do, and there was no standing around. The crew was one of the hardest working group of people that I have observed, right up to the end of the day where they left the job side clear of obstructions and in a tidy condition. I contracted with Max and his company to replace some make shift windows we had done to enclose and outside deck. They did an amazing job both inside and out but Max and I both felt it didn't look finished. He offered at his own expense and time to come back and put some trim on, who does that. After looking at it for several days I contacted him to see about maybe putting paneling and trim up. They are there right now doing the work and I am so excited to go home and see what they have done. Max and his company are great to work with and very reasonable. I am letting everyone in my trailer park know if they need any work done, Max and his company are the ones to talk to. Thanks Max and MJK Construction.

Low-quality work, and the owner likes to cut corners, intimate other contractors so he can avoid doing a good job and Ignore permits and building code. The owner thinks he's a mob boss, but in the end caved to all our demands in a home sale. He's childish and unprofessional. I would run far away from using this contractor unless you want a headache and shotty work from questionable sub contactors and unskilled laborers.

MJK was the subcontractor for a complicated home siding project involving window reframing and dryrot damage. The crew was easy to communicate with and worked quickly. Owner was accessible and responded to questions. Only issue that came up was a billing error at the end, but he apologized and quickly fixed it. I would gladly hire them in the future.
