Modern Stoneworks

I have 3 vanities in a master bath area and wanted Caesar Stone but did not quite have the budget. I got the best price here for a large remnant-90inches. I called everywhere and even installers who had that brand available by the foot did not come close to his price. I also wanted it installed quickly as it was one of the last steps and had guest coming. Moses worked with me on all fronts. I was impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism. He went above and beyond.

I love working with Moises and the Modern Stoneworks crew. They’re patient, skilled, and so easy to coordinate with—beautiful stone, careful installs, and quick follow-through. My first call for countertops, every time!!

I used Modern Stoneworks for a kitchen and bathroom counter job in November 2022. There have been several issues along the way that built up to unacceptable service. 1) There was an issue with bad communication between the GC (Countertops, Kitchen and Floors, also in Austin) and Modern Stoneworks. They blamed each other for damage that was done to under cabinet lighting. I heldback the damage from that (around $600 was heldback on a $20k+ job) and, as a result, the company has been rude and unresponsive ever since. Moses, the manager, came to my house to look at the issue and gave great lip service about wanting the customer to be happy and doing the right thing. Went for a vanity top and sink. The quality is very good. Communication with Gabrielle was very easy as she understood and knew all I would need as a DIYer.

Modern Stoneworks walked the job after 1 month of us waiting for the install. They poorly installed 1/4 of the countertops we were asking for (after measuring them 3 times) and then abandoned the job. Some areas had a 1" overhang while others had a flush edge (the ask was for 1/2" overhang). Usually you want a mostly consistent overhang. We do not recommend this Modern Stoneworks and only hope to save others from having the same experience that we did. We went with a different installer (STA granite) after Modern Stoneworks walked away (with half our money). STA had a much more sophisticated set up and was significantly more timely and professional. STA did the rest of the job start to finish in 2 weeks.
