James is a professional who is completely dedicated to his craft. His knowledge on sourcing, shaping and building with stone are unmatched. He re built this wall for us close to 20 years ago. It hasn't budged. If you need something done that will stand the test of time, James is your guy. He's also creative with ideas that will enhance your project, and he's an all-around great guy. Mountaineer Stone was referred to me by a neighbor. I noticed their beautiful stone work that lined their driveway. Not thinking that I needed something like that, I couldn’t help but ask who did the work. They said that James, owner of Mountaineer Stone, came and looked at the project, listened to their thoughts and offered them a huge variety of ideas. They went with his suggestion and were extremely happy. I called James, he was prompt to get me on his schedule. I showed him some pictures, he gave me prices and we scheduled the project. I've known Jim for many years. He is my go to guy for work and information about stone work. I lidt many stone farmhouses and historical properties across Pennsylvania. Jim is truly an old world craftsman that is at the top of his game. Real stone takes a true craftsman for repairs and construction.

Hired him to redo my stone sidewalk for 6K ..he done a horrible job asked him to come back to fix it. 2 months later still not done and I’m out 6k.
