MPG: Manhattan Parking (MP 41)

DO NOT PARK HERE!! Like many others we made a reservation only to be denied and ignored. There was a lot of space when we drove in and it wasn’t busy in the morning. We asked for a refund and other places we can park but the worker just walked away. We called SpotHero (the app that we used to book the parking spot) and they said it commonly happens. We had to call SpotHero on the phone, and they were helpful with booking another parking spot for us. *Be wary of New York parking lots and garages. We had a van and we had a few places try to overcharge us $150 with “truck” fees. Know the policies and advocate for yourself!

Made a reservation and showed up only to be told the garage was “full”. It certainly didn’t look full to me. Not sure what the end game is here but many others have had the same experience. I argued with the attendants about how I pre payed for a reservation and I wasn’t leaving until I got my $ back. They tried to tell me to call their boss or go to a 42nd street garage. I said no- I want my $ back. Like magic- a spot is now available. When I return- I get screamed at again to read the reservation number off my phone. There is just no need for drama like this. And the fact that this is a common thread is VERY SHADY. I feel lucky I got my car back intact. Won’t ever be back.

Car returned in a reasonable amount of time and in one piece. Two stars taken off b/c I chose this garage for its electric vehicle chargers. I clearly asked the attendant to charge the vehicle when he took it (as access to the chargers is NOT self-service. They’re behind the attendant station. See photo.) Vehicle was not charged upon receipt.

DO NOT GO HERE! ITS A SCAM Worst service ever, place charged 5 days, despite us only being there for 4. 60+ a day is a joke, the bill added up to $275 after the hotel discount, parking should never cost this much, I will be reporting this place.

I drive an Escalade, they will completely refuse to park my car unless I spend an extra $20 to tip them. On top of that, they won't even bring my car to me, only giving me the keys and expecting me to get it. They charge a premium price, try to scam you and treat you terribly. Avoid at all cost.
