I'm a GC and did a commercial project and my retail client purchased Everlife flooring through Jackson Lumber. The rep from Jackson's and I walked through the space and the customer wanted durable, high-traffic flooring for the retail operation. We opted for the 26 mil floating floor (I was not advised to use an adhesive floor so we went with a floating floor). The floor was installed by my commercial flooring contractor - who has 25 years of commercial experience. The floor was prepped and properly leveled prior to installation. 14 months after the floor was installed, the main traffic area of the floor started to cup, chip and come apart and became a trip hazard. Overall good experience Desk person was friendly; and because we knew exactly what we were looking for, it made things easier. They did try to convince us that all the slabs in a bundle look the same (as stated in many reviews I read). Which in my opinion, is simply not true. I understand there are great similarities but there are also nuances that I need to see, feel, and choose for myself with my own eyes. Moving the slabs is quite the feat, but when you're spending that much money I would advise you to see for yourself each and every slab you can. ***Where there is room for improvement at MSI*** is that employees should check the skews before showing you something that is already tagged/sold. We visited on a Friday morning in the rain, and for most of visit we were the only customers there. That was beneficial because we didn't have to wait to have our saleswoman get some slabs moved out of the way. The employees were happy to move slabs around so we could see the ones behind them. My wife and I ended up choosing 2 corresponding slabs that were behind 2 single slabs that were in front of them. If they never moved those slabs we would have never made our selection! No appointments are necessary to walk in and view the slabs, but you must already have a fabricator if you want to pick and hold a slab.
