Nashville City Center Surface Parking Lot

If you want to pay $50 to park for an hour, you should choose this lot. Cannot recommend enough doing literally anything else.

Went to leave today, and the doors leading to the lot were locked. When scanning the QR code to unlock, the website kept giving a “failed” error. When calling the number listed on the door, the support person insisted “the lot isn’t owned by Metropolis anymore so you need to call the building” giving a corporate # for the business which was clearly closed. We were only able to get back to our car because someone was leaving and we could get in the door then. It’s pricey, as can clearly be seen, so to basically be locked out of the garage and have no clear way to get in is simply inexcusable. Metropolis clearly has no issue collecting money for this, even if their ill informed customer service seems to think they don’t operate this garage anymore. Stay away from this parking garage.

They don’t post their hourly rate and then charge you $40 for being there one hour even though they originally say that it’s $40 for 12 hours.

Scam! They will not and do not tell you how much their rate is. (It’s $40 no matter how long you stay there 30min - 8 hrs doesn’t matter) They track your license plate as you enter and will auto charge your credit card as you leave. Nowhere on the signs or in the app will they tell you how much they will charge you. Dispute your credit card charges! This company has several lawsuits from the city for not posting rates. Your card disputes will win because they did not show you a rate so you did not authorize the amount charged.

I wish I would have read reviews on this lot ahead of time, but I was late for an event I was volunteering for. This lot is AWFUL. $40 for an hour. And, I had a person with a garbage bag standing at my car begging for money. Overpriced and unsafe.
