This is the second time we’ve used Neal’s and if I left a review the first time, it would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately, after this past experience, I won’t be recommending Neal’s to anyone anymore. Pros: good price for refinishing and installing, Linda is wonderful to work with, you’ll be happy if you don’t care about the details. Cons: they left splatter on one of newly painted closet doors and all over our baseboards, they installed a piece that had a hole in it they they filled with filler that looks terrible (only fixed after we called to complain), and they had to refinish the whole upstairs because they blended the finishing coat terrible (again, only after we complained). At one time I enthusiastically praised and referred others to the company. What I learned is if you have a customer service issue, they rate poorly. Long story short, the company wants to charge me for a mistake made by their technicians. No big deal, mistakes happen and the company corrected the problem. The issue is that we should not be charged for their failing to follow protocol, which caused an issue with the floor. We had a history of giving Neal's Flooring a good amount of business and they refused to give us good customer service and agree to credit us for their error. Several emails and a letter to the owner were written with a full explanation of events and pictures to show the issue, with no satisfaction. We worked with Neal's Hardwood Flooring over 10 years ago, and our original wood floors still look amazing. So when we decided to install additional wood flooring, we knew exactly who to call. As expected, the sales process was outstanding. The team took the time to educate us on various options, clearly outlining the pros and cons of each. They even came to our home three separate times to help us select the perfect product. After the floors were installed, we noticed some issues—the floor creaked and felt spongey in certain areas. Neal’s responded immediately, coming out the very next day. They quickly acknowledged that something wasn’t right and took swift action to address it. Very happy with our experience at Neil’s. Mark DelRocco showed me many options and samples before I selected the right one to replace the carpet in our rooms. Install only took 5 hours and we were happy with the process.

Stay away!! We had our floors refinished and sanded a few years ago. Upon returning from vacation we noticed the floors didn’t have the right shine. We had just spent a lot to have this done and run a business from the home, so we couldn’t shut down for another week and pay to have everything moved out and stored again. We decided to just live with it. It faded fast and was insanely easy to scratch, more so than our prior floors before the refinish or even at other houses we’ve owned. I reached out this year and asked them to take a look. They said nothing was covered under warranty, they did the right shine, the job was good and they offered me a sales person to quote me another job. The idea the floor looked this awful a few years after is ridiculous, and other companies can’t believe it
