New Carrollton Metro Garage

This garage is fantastic! I know other reviewers have complained about a variety of things including rates, construction in the area, and other items but when it comes to parking your car and leaving it. This garage does it perfectly fine. Is the rate a little high, sure! Has there been ongoing construction in the area for a few years, yes! But when it comes to parking this garage is great! Hours of operation and parking rates are clearly posted before you enter. You can use your credit card or Metro card to pay when you exit. The stairs and elevators are clean-ish. Customers should really use the trash cans provided for throwing away their trash.

January 2026. I was stuck at the fair gate for several minutes. I couldn't use my smartrip card to exit and my personal credit card wasn't working either. I called the attendant several times while trying to get out and he said: "I don't know what to tell you, Look around, everyone else around you is able to get out". He was unprofessional and not helpful at all & showed zero effort to help me. Do better with your staff and fare gate METRO!

This was my first time parking in this lot to catch the metro. It's brand new and parking wasn't an issue on a Thursday around 11am. I wish I had put the $4.95 on my smart trip to get the park and ride rate. Unfortunately, I use my credit card and pay the $8.95, the non rider rate. I guess that was my fault for assuming I could load the card at the garage.

When you see the video, I want you to imagine anything and share what comes to mind first. For me it was, I possibly met my future husband and then, you received some shattering news that could stop things with that future. What do you do? Pay it no mind and keep pursuing him or keep it moving and live your best life? By the way, the ride was smooth and very relaxing. Thank Amtrak for getting me home safely.

Arrived at 8:30 on a Tuesday for an Amtrak trip. Not a space open. No information about overflow parking. No one on duty. Parked illegally but was not towed. Never again - will go to BWI or just drive to Philly.
