New London Electric Utilities

I never thought I'd say this but I wish that WE energy was a New London this is the worst electric company ever and I don't know how they get away with shutting off people's electric in the winter months when it's below zero outside. The other electric companies can't do that to people. I lost my job and was struggling I was one month behind and ask them if they could give me an extra 5 days to pay the past due balance and was told no. The women who work there all act like they're on some kind of power trip with your electric bill.

I receive my billing statement in the mail every month, post dated for 10-15 days prior. I receive the bill AFTER the due date. Same goes for a disconnection notice. I receive a disconnect notice. It will be dated June 9th (for example) but I receive it in the mail on June 22nd! Stating disconnect will happen on June 23rd! The company is across the street from my house! It shouldn’t take 10 days for me to receive my bill or any other statements that they send to me. I try to stay on top of the bill online to avoid disconnection, since trying to play catch up from an unfortunate turn of events for me last year. And they are NO help at all and actually make it even harder with the way they send out statements and charge late fees! It seems intentional to me, to make any bit of extra money p

Terrible. They called to inform me about a shut off less than 24 hours before it was supposed to happen! Never once called after I forgot my bill the month before. Last sounded extremely cheery about the shut off too. Terrible.

Very unprofessional unfortunately, our bill was delinquent. When my wife and I came there, I went to use the bathroom she went to pay the bill. When I left the bathroom, I walked out the wrong way and headed towards their office and that’s when I overheard the office ladies just ripping on my wife for being late on our payment. Nobody’s perfect sorry we’re we’re late but that gives you no right to rip and customers

Unprofessional. They are free to hang up on costumers without having to give an explanation. My water was turned off unexpectedly so I called the company to get answers but the call taker hung up when I asked who I was speaking with. I then went over to the company to speak to management and the general manager proceeded to justify the action then questioned why I'm upset. Unprofessional at its best.
