Tucker worked with me to create my dream backyard. I asked for pollinator-friendly plants and an environment that would welcome birds. I wanted to use the entire yard, not just place greenery around the perimeter—which is what every other designer offered—and he incorporated some of the quirky pieces from our collection.We made some adjustments along the way and I was able to see renderings of what the product could look like. Finally I handed the plans to a crew that he recommended. We’ve been in our home for 21 years and the backyard is finally finished!! I couldn’t be happier.

We have mixed feelings about our experience. The plans are not worth the price that we paid. Our plans have a fence going right through the middle of a planting bed/tree and a couple specific things we asked for were not included. We could have asked for changes, but the design review meeting was overwhelming and the screen shots we received by email of the 3d software aren't great. We didn't realize until we picked up the plans that things were off. We'll have to redesign as we start working on the yard.

We have known Tucker Beeninga for a number of years and have been aware of his excellent reputation as a landscape designer, so when we needed a design, we called Next to Nature. Our project was much smaller than the major installations Tucker has designed. However, it was important to us, and at no point did we feel any “less than” with our project. Tucker spent quality time with us to discover what we wanted the space to look like, and then suggested the look and the plants that would achieve our goals. We found Next to Nature’s pricing extremely reasonable and competitive. The contract clearly spelled out everything so there were no surprises, and everything was delivered as promised. I HIGHLY recommend Next to Nature Landscape Design! I had a very specific need for a plan to fit a remodel for a lakefront home with a pool. Tucker, owner and landscape designer, not only knew exactly what was needed, but listened to my requests and incorporated them into the plan. He has been extremely accessible and has followed up every step of the way during the installation. I am so pleased with his services, I have commissioned his services again for my primary home.
