Niagara Falls Public Works

This department is a joke. This past summer, contacted channel 7 news for a situation on Cayuga Island - dead tree w/ very large limbs falling on a "school bus" corner. Very concerning for children or adults. Had reported the tree issue to Public Works for over a year & nothing. When the story aired on channel 7 - they were suddenly here to take down the tree. Now, new problem - S. 86th Street has a road repair issue w/ very large stones - sitting now few weeks - this is the street coming onto the island forcing cars to go into the other lane & due to the bridge elevation cannot see oncoming traffic - could cause a collision. When I called I was told to call NFPD ! UNBELIEVEABLE. HOW DO THEY COLLECT PAYCHECKS????

I just spoke with Jennifer at DPW. about my damaged recycle bin and she was more then accommodating. I had called them before about an issue with shopping carts in the alley and it was addressed the same day. I have nothing but good things to say about our city workers!

Terrible excuses for their lackluster work ethic. Lackluster is generous too, “understaffed” they said. And when I asked for an application I was yelled at. 3 months into a trash can repair/replacement

Purchase a new home called to let them know that we did not have a recycling bin and the female employee that answered the phone told me I needed it, get a police report and then report the police report on the website. So I just wanted her to clarify it. And I said you want me to call the police because I don't have a bin and she hung up on me. So I called back and said I was trying to get clarification and she again hung up on me. Very bad customer service

After a month, still waiting for response for Garbage Bin repair. "Public Works doesn't answer phones", that is the info I received from "311". Someone needs lessons on customer relations.
