Nickel City Roofing

I'm writing this review for my elderly aunt to go along with the one above as a follow-up. After weeks of Mr Marino giving excuse after excuse he finally sent his guys out to put the rubber torched on roofing on her home. They were there all day, Mr Marino stopped in briefly to drop off supplies. The next day the roof was STILL leaking so I went up there myself and took pictures. None of the vents or flashings were sealed and at least 80% of the seams are gaping wide open. I sent the pictures to Mr Marino who admits in text message that the seams are all wide open and the flashings and vents need to be sealed and promised to be out the next day (Friday) to fix the mess. Hired to silicone cote my roof, August 2022, two story building low pitch roof. I'm 70 years and unable to safely clime on a roof. Two guys did whole 2400 sq roof in six hours max. Did not pre- seal seams or coat every screw head prior to sealing as promised. Mopped silicone over entire roof. Two days after completion and being paid $10000.00 the roof started dripping. At that time I climed on the roof seeing the "slop" job that had been done. I have texted Mr. Marino at least a dozen times only to get his empty promisses to fix the issue. I backed off with the texts out of frustration and winter arriving making repairs unlikely. Put a deposit down, signed a contract and set an appointment and they never showed. Over 3 weeks Mr. Mariano had excuse after excuse so we asked for our deposit back. He said he would bring it the next morning, he calls and says he used our deposit on another job and we would have to wait to get our deposit back. Never in my life will I recommend any of this man’s businesses to anyone!!! BBB complaint filed and if no resolution is found a small claims case will be filed. Shame on you Peter Mariano!! My aunt is having a hard time getting her roof completed as per the contract that Nickel City Roofing wrote. Many no shows much run around and what was done was shoddy, Incomplete and cause more damage. We haven't seen the owner since he took her money, over $4000! Only once did they send a worker to sloppy paint a thin coat of sealant over the roof ( that did not help). Over the past 3 weeks we've gotten nothing else but a boat load of excuses. As we wait yet another day for a promised appointment we are actively searching for the best fraud on the elderly attorney that we can find. Take this review as a warning and keep looking for a Competent company that you can trust with your home. Nickel City Roofing is not it!

I hired Nickel city roofing to replace the garage roof and put in a ridge vent per contract. Instead they installed a ridge cap. Now there's no ventilation. Peter had over 2 months to correct the error but he continued to put me off. Today he says live with it its not leaking.. Very bad business practice. Extremely disappointed by his lack of concern. He had hoped we give a good review but I can't now.
