Nickelson Painting & Restoration

We hired Nickelson to paint multiple upstairs rooms and to replace the popcorn texture in our basement with a knockdown texture, consistent with the rest of our house. They did a great job overall. As someone who tends to be fairly nitpicky, I noticed a few minor issues, but when I pointed these out, they were promptly and effectively addressed. I confidently recommend Nickelson. Quality work backed by a solid company.

We had Nickerson come fix cracks in our ceilings and a few that went down a wall. They did a good job of covering stuff. 2 out of the 3 areas were done good. But our kitchen ceiling was not up to my standards. They only painted around some of the light fixtures and didn’t paint all the way to where the wall meets the ceiling. We now have bubbles in the ceiling where there were never bubbles before. They left spackle on the walls and one day when I came home my front door was wide open and no one was there. They came back about 20 minutes later (I came home for lunch but they didn’t know that) but they left my house wide open. I would not hire them again as I was disappointed with the quality of the work.

Nickelson recently painted the exterior of my house and I couldn't be more impressed with their work! I called and received an estimate in two days! Marcos and the painting crew were professional, punctual and paid great attention to detail. The prep process was thorough; the final result was flawless with clean lines and perfect coverage. I am over-the-moon happy. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent craftsmanship and reliable service!

We just had our house in the historic district painted by Bob's crew and I am super pleased. Despite some aging siding boards and trim, they did a beautiful job. We had them replace the old metal corner trim with vertical boards for an updated look and Eric the carpenter was so meticulous and precise! As I went over things with Ian, the head painter, he asked great questions and made good suggestions. I pointed out that I was very picky about keeping my foundation plantings in good shape and they certainly respected that. Not a hosta nor spirea was trampled in any way. We highly recommend Nickelson Painting!
