We hired John for an upstairs renovation (total gut) which included two bedrooms and a bathroom. He came over quickly and an estimate arrived promptly by certified mail within just a few days. His prices were very reasonable and reviews seemed good so we hired him. Project started off on time but inevitably we hit some snags and unfortunately John was not present on site to catch mistakes/problem solve, leaving us to act as our own general contractors. After several tries with his finish subcontractors (trim, tile) and much wasted material (on our dime), we ended up having to hire our own people to finish the work properly. When the project finally wrapped up (5 weeks turned into 6 months which in all fairness was partially due to our separately hired subs), we tried to have a conversation

I highly recommend Nicolas General Contracting. They redid my kitchen and bath and it came out absolutely beautiful. They pay attention to detail and worked with me every step of the way. Give them a call for any type of remodel you need.

Horrible experience. Uses subcontractors, is not on the job, and many mistakes and poor response. Left my house a mess with unfinished electrical, none of our fire alarms work, and huge open holes in the wall. He has ignored text messages asking him to come back and finish.
