We recently completed a 1,000 sq. ft. addition to our home with Norsk, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations. We chose Norsk for a full design-build project, and from start to finish, their team prioritized our needs, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. One aspect we especially appreciated was their commitment to partnering with local subcontractors and small businesses—each one delivered outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism. NORSK did a major remodel on our Mercer Island home 11 years ago. The quality of their work is fantastic, the people working for their company in the office and on the job site were friendly, competent and very willing to spend time with us, and we very much appreciated their follow up with us after the job was completed to ensure our complete satisfaction. Even 11 years after the work was completed they spend time with us on follow up questions we have. We love our home and the work they did. A great company to do business with!

OCT 2024 UPDATE: After no contact since 2016, the owner has reached out to me to remove or adjust this review. He claims they have changed business practices since 2016. While I have not engaged Norsk in any work since then, I sincerely hope their subsequent clients have had more positive experiences. I did update the review to emphasize my personal experiences with Norsk. ORIGINAL REVIEW (EDITED): Norsk Design Build over-promises and under-delivers. They estimate one price, undertake a project, and then with no change in scope come back with massive cost increases. We engaged them to do a remodel project at an estimated price per square-foot. We undertook a large dream project during Covid, so permits and supplies were at times frustrating, but Norsk did their best to keep us informed of progress and offer us alternatives that could help speed things up. We loved working with their talented design team. Their skilled carpenters are top-notch. We had several custom things made for our project that turned out beautifully. They are very upfront about cost. We weren't charged a penny more than we expected to. When we first got our very thorough estimate it seemed very expensive, but we shopped it around and found it was very much in the ballpark. We've been living in our project for some time now and we LOVE it!

Great people! I originally said they were high prices because my insurance company told me they were, but in the end, the insurance companies' contractors charged more. Don't trust the insurance. it is best to use Norsk, the better priced and more experienced contractors.
