North Park Garage

I am writing this review as I am waiting in my car, trying to leave the facility. While the listed $1/hr rate seems good, this place has only one lane for exit. And the fact that pre-payment machine is broken means every driver has to spend at least a minute at the gate when exiting. If there is an event, such as the pop up vegan festival at the park, prepare to wait 1 minute per car in front of you (40? 50?). God forbid someone has an emergency. Look for street parking first.

Pricing is fair and at 5-6 levels of parking you get a lot of space and a great view of what North Park has to offer.

I was greeted by a polite person who asked if I was going to an event across the street, and then he asked to see my ticket. He then handed me two slips, saying "put the first one in, which will charge you, then put the one marked 'validation' in, and it will pay the ticket." The garage was clean and felt safe. It was a positive experience. I would recommend this place to a friend.

This place can have a star not by choice. False advertisement. Sign lists price as $1 hr. Returned to car after 1hr and were charged $5? Still cheap, but they should just post the real price. I been there plenty of times to know that the person in kiosks scams people as they please. Being a San Diego Native I was NOT happy to be hearing this from that worker. Bad reputation for him.

Entrance on 29th Street. Lots of parking available.
