Emergency AC repair in Wheeling - multiple issues fixed. Called North Star Saturday night when our air conditioning quit during the heat wave. Omar came out to our Wheeling home and found several problems - burned wire, bad capacitor, and faulty contactor. Plus we were low on Freon. Omar walked me through each issue and showed me the burned wire that caused the shutdown. He had all the parts on his truck and handled the repairs systematically. Replaced the capacitor and contactor, fixed the wiring, and topped off the Freon. Took about 60 minutes total. What impressed me was how Omar explained what went wrong and answered my questions without any pressure tactics. He clearly knew HVAC repair inside and out. Awful customer service. Not transparent. I believe he installed a used part in my furnace and over-charged for the part and the time. They Never sent a receipt as promised. Very Unprofessional, My furnace not working as it used too. I won’t be calling them anymore. Be warned!
