NYC Parking 851 8th Avenue Parking Corp.

First time to NYC. Had a reservation booked through SpotHero at this garage. Pulled in and they claimed I had to pay an extra 30 dollars to park my F-150 claiming it was a “super sized” vehicle after already paying a 45 dollar “oversized vehicle” fee in SpotHero. After arguing over the extra 30 dollars, the worker claimed they had no more room for my vehicle and would not accept the reservation or park my vehicle. This garage is a complete scam and none of the workers speak English. Ruined the beginning of my trip in New York and would highly recommend anyone to never park here. Any good reviews about this place are fake or paid for. Save a headache and terrible experience and find somewhere else.

We had a booking on 8-Sep-24 from noon from 3rd party app (Spot Hero). We reached around 1:15 PM and they did not accommodate us or entertain us. They simply refused the service, when asked- they replied that “ App does not guarantee you the spot, if you want to park here, pay $75 bucks for 12 hours” The thing is, the app does mention in the booking that you have booked a spot. We spent around 30 mins here, just to get inside, without knowing we won't get the parking and will face rude staff. We refused to park and luckily found the street-side parking and that too was free of cost ( it was Sunday).

When I arrived the guy that parked my car said it would cost $21 to park here. But when I came pick my car up they charged me $59. I asked for the manager but the other guy (the shift changed) said he was not there. They charge you whatever they want and you have nobody to complain. Don’t park there.

Made a reservation using SpotHero. Garage refused my car. Manager said they don’t accept my car (Ford Expedition). Do NOT park here as if they are busy will refuse your car even with a reservation.

I would say one of the worst parking spots in area there’s a lot other ones to use around but not them after I gave them my car and said I want to grab my suitcase in about 4hrs after my tour ends so I can go to hotel and leave them car for a night the guy agreed on me coming later , when I camed he refused me grabbing my stuff and said I need to take my car and give them again which is hilarious pay twice for that …. Found the parking not even minute from them and had no problems !!!!
