Had my washer and dryer go out several days ago, and my landlord put me in contact with Doug. Started off very professional and helpful, but when he found out I did not have a day this month that I could be home all day, he listed other jobs he had in the area stating that “I don’t want to have to make 2 trips” (mind you we hadn’t set a date or time yet). Trying to be accommodating, my husband was able to take a day off so he’d be available, got a time scheduled, we’re ready to go. An hour later I receive this text message: “I sent this to your landlord. Sorry but I’m not going to be able to do the job. It’s too much work and in hard to reach places. You’ll need to get someone else. Thank you, Doug Old School Appliance Repair” The wishy washy back-and-forth felt very unprofessional, a

Doug arrived promptly as scheduled. He got right down to business. After careful examination of my gas dryer, Doug was very transparent about what he discovered and the cost to fix each of the problem areas. He explained every detail of what was needed, including some optional maintenance items. I had him fix everything and also gave him the green light to perform the optional preventive maintenance. The cost for the repairs was extremely reasonable. Doug is very polite and it is quite clear that he is an expert in his field. In sum, I will not hesitate to call Doug for my next appliance service needs.

Never met such a mean and crabby person. Edit: the job was done properly. No issues. It was over 30 minutes since he left. This is a condo and there are clearly marked spots for visitor parking and numbered spots for residents. I politely asked him to move to a visitor parking spot. At this point he screamed at the top of his lungs that he was leaving soon. Again I told him he could stay as long as he needed in the assigned visitor parking. Again he screamed at the top of his lungs that he was leaving. I know the people who live in the spot he was parked in and they come and go frequently during the day. I was only trying to show respect for neighbors and was completely polite the entire time. I've told many people the exact same thing and everyone else understood and politely moved.

Doug was very prompt for the appointment. Diagnosed the issue with my range and gave a full breakdown of the cost involved with the repair. I would recommend Old School to anyone needing appliance repair.
