Olsen Excavation & Grading

Needed a 1/4 acre pond dug and formed in my back yard.. Had about 4 different excavation companies or pond builders give me estimates and decided to go with Olsen after he took the time to come out and actually SEE what I wanted and give me ideas.. Only one other estimator did that. The rest gave estimates without visiting the sight.. They were eliminated Immediately..... Only problem was trying to get him to actually DO the work and do it right! Oliver did a GREAT JOB on digging the hole but was Definitely inexperienced on knowing how to keep water IN that hole... He used a clay liner and did not use near enough clay to hold the water... He used 6 inches when he ( according to DNR ) need 2 feet.. The project never got finished properly, as it wouldn't hold water, and I had to use another

Oliver demoed a large outbuilding we had leaning on our property. He was timely with communication, fair priced, and did great work. The building came down and he cleaned it up as if it was never there.

I contracted with Olsen Excavating in 4/24. Since then, I’ve dealt with an ongoing nightmare. I contacted Olsen with regards to cleaning and shaping a farm pond. The pond was to be dredged to specified depths, the invasive cattails to be burned off, the banks smoothed and cleaned, installation of fabric and stone, and the excess material was to be graded into a smooth berm. We had originally discussed starting the project that April. I placed my deposit check immediately. Understandingly, the project was delayed due to weather conditions. Between 4/30 and 8/30, Olsen never contacted me about rescheduling. I finally had to reach out in August, and got a response in September the project will start within a few weeks. Olsen Excavation took care a tree stump removal for us. I wish I had a before picture. It was an eye sore. I’m attaching an after picture to show what a great clean up job he did. Olsen was professional, reasonably priced and left things nice and tidy when finished. Would highly recommend his work and will definitely be contacting him again for future needs.

Oliver with Olsen Excavation did a great job getting the areas dug out the way I requested. He was a very pleasant person to work with. I would recommend them anytime.
