On Point Deck Staining LLC

Jake did a fabulous job on our deck and Cedar fence. I originally thought I wanted to use a stain that looked much like a paint, but Jake explained to me the many advantages of using the oil based stain that he has had great success with over the years, and I decided to go with that. I’m sure glad I did, because it allowed the grain and best parts of the wood to show through while preserving it better than any other stain would have. We have a 1 year-old white house, and Jake added a little bit of black to the stain color to give it a little more pop against the white. He is a master at preserving and restoring decks, and I highly recommend him!

We have an extremely large deck, and Jake did an excellent job on every aspect! He was extremely professional and we couldn’t be happier! He started with the power washing, then sanding, and then the stains! When he was worried about rain, he came over and covered with tarps! We highly recommend On Point Staining!

On Point did an amazing job of refinishing my deck! The process started with a thorough discussion of what my concerns were and an honest assessment of what I could expect from the finished work. I have an older redwood deck and was concerned about maintaining as much of the grain transitions as possible while also keeping it weatherproof for a reasonable time period. Jake discussed product options with me to ensure that I was getting the right stain color and good longevity of the product. Of course, scheduling the work on an outdoor project can be tricky depending on the weather, but Jake was very diligent about watching the forecast and communicating when he thought the best opportunity was to complete the different steps in the refinishing process. Jake washed, sanded, and stained our deck and he did a beautiful job! He gave us a great deal and was incredibly easy to work with. He had a great attention to detail and made sure that the stain did not get below the deck or on the house. He was thorough and got the job done in a timely manner. We 100% recommend him!

We hired Jake to power wash, sand and stain our back deck and he did a great job! He was prompt, professional, thorough and tidy. He was gentle near an established bird nest. We’re very happy with the results!
