Optimum

I'm barely a customer and the call reps absolutely don't know what they are doing. One point I'm being told I could get phones on a payment plan but no internet due to a past bill then next time I'm being told I could get internet then I can't from another and finally being told I could due to their policy on past bills. That last time I was also told I couldn't get phones on the payment plan and would have to pay 90% before they would kick in. I'm getting the run aroundon other offers being told conflicting things there too. I was told by an agent that different departments offer different things, they can see things that others don't, and not everyone is up to date on policies even though they are seeing the same things. I don't normally leave bad reviews. 2 hours to cancel. 1 have been paying $100 a month for years. $40 is what they offered me. So can I have all the money back that you stole since apparently you pay extra until you want to cancel. From reading the reviews apparently this is common practice.

If I could give negative stars I would. Can’t cancel my service with you fast enough. Started having connection issues with my WiFi yesterday and your chat representative spent the entire chat trying to sell me your phone service when all I wanted was my internet fixed. After that not being resolved I decided to try chat again today, John was helpful I suppose, but the problem wasn’t fixed. When I tried to get back into the chat to tell him it wasn’t fixed, I wasn’t able to get into a new chat, it kept booting me back. I called to tell them I’m still having issues only to be told “for your general information if it’s on optimums side you won’t be charged $60” so you are going to charge me to have one of your employees come out and look at your equipment that isn’t working. The actual store was amazing the customer service to cancel was a different story. After being hung up on 3 different time after telling them I want to cancel and being told about all there deals that I told them many times that I did not want finally got put through to the cancelation process and yet again being talked down to and told about said deals yet again after telling them no yet again and mind you I had already turned in my equipment which made them mad, finally got it canceled after having to have a screaming match with the dude. Says their gonna bill me for a whole month even though I had it for 1 day......go ahead and bill me turn it over to a collection agency im not paying. Customer service was absolute trash.

I have legitimately never had a worse experience with a service the amount of random fees and charges they decided to come up with is diabolical not to mention canceling the service took an hour and a half on the phone speaking to AI an hour of the phone call was waiting on hold in. The next 30 minutes was me getting transferred to five different people who all couldn’t speak English and each person offered me the service $20 lower every time I have switched Internet providers and I’m paying significantly less than I ever did with the optimum and I’m getting significantly better Internet service not to mention my new provider doesn’t sell my information. Do not use optimum unless you want to enter a binding document.
