This parking lot is absolutely unsafe. I left my car here and someone siphoned out all of my gas. There seems to be no security, no cameras, and no staff paying attention. It’s unbelievable that such things can happen on the property. I strongly advise everyone to avoid parking here if you care about your car and your safety.

P6 LAX Smartparking (651-3 Worlds Way South) charged $240 to park for 3 days. The new economy parking structure was full for Juneteenth Weekend. It would have been cheaper to Uber to the airport and not spend any gas money. I parked on Friday 06/16/23 at 05:31am and left the parking structure on Monday 06/19/23 at 11:07am. I parked for a total of 3 days and 5 hours, and 36 minutes (3:05:36). The receipt says P6 but I was parked on P5 since I was going to the American Airlines departures (Terminal 5). I attached a photo of the level I parked on so I can easily rememeber when I got back from my short trip.

This is where I park when I pick up/ drop off passengers for; jetBlue, spirit, FRONTIER, HAWAIIAN and Air Canada. Multi Level Parking right across Terminal 5. $5 for the first hour. Could get packed at times. Convenient walk from parking to Terminal.

$9 for the first hour of parking. Subsequent 30 minute intervals are $7, so if you park 2 hours it will be $9 + $14. What a shady business model. You're better off leaving the lot and coming back. Also, if you are parking for a departing flight, keep in mind that P4 is the last parking structure you can drive into from the DEPARTURES level. P5 and P6 require you to circle back around the entire airport and enter from the ARRIVALS level. The design efficiency of the entire airport is something that third world countries have figured out better than here. That said, when leaving, pay at the kiosk before getting back into your car (the time of payment will dictate how long you "parked") and the kiosk will spit your ticket back out to you to present to another machine upon exiting.
