Parkway Parking - 1845 Walnut Street

I parked my car at 1845 Walnut Street Garage on a Tuesday night around 8:15 PM and returned around 11:15 PM after dining at Starr’s new restaurant, Borromini (which was fantastic). I’ve parked in this garage for over 17 years, but this experience was alarming. When I returned, my car window had been smashed with a brick, leaving glass everywhere. The damage cost me over $3,000 to repair. Another woman’s vehicle was also vandalized the same evening, a brick thrown through her window as well. Despite being a controlled-access facility in Rittenhouse Square, Parkway has shown no accountability or cooperation. They have refused to release security footage or provide any transparency into their safety procedures. There were no valuables left in my car, and the incident appears to be a target

This is my preferred parking place in Center City because there are ample parking spaces, and I can self-park and not have to worry about my car being damaged by a valet. It’s expensive, but the trade off is more piece of mind.

Very high price for parking, too many reserved spaces, other spaces are very compact, so you really have to be careful fitting into the spots. But not much street parking available, so they're taking advantage of the limited supply. Oh yeah, and their payment machines don't work half the time. Avoid if you can!

Perhaps I'm just used to the way the rest of the world does things... but $17 an hour is quite exorbitant. The layout is also a bit... death-spirally. Across the street from a nice park. The location is great, in a chic area where you can spend the money you have left after parking.

What a racket!!!! This is not posted anywhere,but they give you 10 minutes to leave after you pay at the kiosk. If you take longer they charge an additional $8 on top of the $31 to get out! If you park here, pay at the gate to avoid getting charged extra. I will not be parking here EVER AGAIN.
