Parkway Parking - 37 N 2nd Street

So about 9 o’clock on Tuesday January 13th between 830 and 9:30 PM my car was parked as close to second Street in this lot as possible. When I returned to my car, the entire locking mechanism had been removed and my door was slightly a jar. Understandably, that is not this lot’s fault. However, when I called the Parking company and explained what happened, they told me they would not conduct any investigation until the police contacted them on this matter. That is very silly. I outlined the whole incident very clearly. I paid using my license plate and they can easily look up that I was there. I will now have to re-contact the police and request for them to reach out to this Parking company.🙈

What I don’t like about Parkway’s parking lots are the spaces are very close. If too medium size cars park it’s difficult to get in and out of car and a pickup truck or large SUV takes up all the space. The cost is $30 for 24 hours and if you leave you must pay again which is simply greed! And $10 or $13 for 1 hour which is ridiculous. You have a ticket to why can’t you leave since you have already paid for space. We also used their parking garage on Center Square and same thing; tiny parking spaces. These corporations are all about money and don’t care if our cars get dinged up etc. I don’t recommend you use the garage or parking lots but they are all over the city and not many other options. I actually hated parking in this lot but did like that they have security cameras so vehicle was

watch out, popular spot for scammers pretending to be parking attendants to collect money and run away. this spot is unstaffed so if someone asks you for money for parking, they're trying to scam you, even if they have "official" gear on and have paperwork/tickets in their hands to give you.

Good place to park, make sure you pay for the parking BEFORE leaving the lot and have your license plate visible (no backing in)
